The coronavirus pandemic shut down the OHL season, but not the Knights’ fundraising drive.
The hockey club and alumni foundation launched a marathon online 50/50 draw Friday morning with all proceeds in support of the St. Joseph’s Health Crisis Fund aimed at COVID-19 relief. It will run until Friday, May 29 at 8 p.m. during the Rogers TV re-broadcast of the 2016 Memorial Cup final (spoiler alert: Matthew Tkachuk was credited with the overtime winner against Rouyn-Noranda).
Ten fans who purchase tickets before next Friday at noon win an exclusive invite to a virtual chat with Knights GM Mark Hunter, also a former Maple Leafs assistant GM, to re-live some of London’s great hockey moments during the last two decades.
Visit www.knights5050.com to buy tickets (25 for $10 and 100 for $20).
